Do you believe a woman’s hair is her crowning glory? I hope not, for many of us find our thinning hair alarming. Baldness in men is an accepted fact, often considered attractive, even sexy. Not so with women. I want to DEFY that notion!
The whole portrait of aging can cause dismay. When temporal values with limited quantities define us, become the measuring rode of crowning glory, someone’s going to be unhappy. I’m approaching a time when my wrinkles proliferate and my hair diminishes and at first I didn’t feel too happy about it either.
I found it time for an attitude check. Grace is learning to live with the situation, and focusing on beauty in the soul. If I live a life where my soul radiates love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control, my acceptance of an alternate definition of beauty becomes much more palatable.
The fruits of a life well lived never decay, never dull in brightness, always radiate an inner glow. More valuable than either a beautiful head of hair or a seamless face, I’m opting for the alternative. Yet in a spirit of gusto, I’m using all the tools in my arsenal to keep my face from scaring others, LOL. My current fave is Defiance. Filled to the brim with antioxidants, it hydrates my skin like no other, and loaded with moringa oil, it nourishes deep down at the cellular level.
